GPS Navigation

Ever since GPS technology became fully functional for civilian use, it has steadily grown as one of the most popular and most useful navigation tools. The reasons for this are many. First of all, it is very easy to use and convenient. Most people can input a destination into their GPS and follow specific directions, but not everyone is that great at reading a map. Furthermore, maps typically do not include information about nearby establishments along the way.

Additionally, GPS technology has improved other kinds of transportations worldwide, aiding ground, maritime and aviation operations. Emergency services depend on GPS to provide location and timing capabilities when lives are on the line.

While the navigation technology is most often thought of in terms of transportation navigation, farmers, surveyors, geologists and countless others perform their work more efficiently, and accurately using GPS signals.
